Informations about breed

DACHSHUND

Gentle and loyal, combative and tenacious but also touchy and obstinate. House-trained  but  keen and hardy and a reliable watchdog in the yard. One of the oldest breeds and – in a certain sense – a universal dog for both work and pleasure.

Miniature dachshund was bred by crossing the smallest individuals of standard dachshund for  work below the ground – den-hunting. It is also effective above the ground when tracking or ousting small game and it is a speaking while trailing dog. Keenness of an earth dog, calmness of a blood hound and stamina of a hound – that is a complex of characters that no other breeds have.
